I started the ministry I call BrokenBody Photography after I broke my ankle early last summer. The point of what I do is basically to add a tasty little bit of salt to a community I'm involved in that otherwise doesn't have much to do with the Christian scene. I started taking the photos and giving them to the riders for free, and that's all I ever really expected to have happen. But God apparently had other plans, because He hooked it up so that I've been able to get photos of the guys in ForeverSkim Magazine, Your Music Magazine, and some ads for SurfTech and Roush Creations. That's allowed me to build friendships both with the riders and with company heads, strategically putting me in a place where I can be a light to basically the entirety of the industry. (I'm not sure if that sounds arrogant... )

It's been pretty cool to see everything come together, because I swear I don't know how to use a camera and generally can't take a good shot of anything except skimming. It's shown me though, even with the misery of breaking my foot and spending almost a year out of the water, God has plans and gets stoked to hook people up when they're willing to work for the Kingdom.
