GEOCACHING Event for Jr. High & High School Group

Saturday September 23rd
Starting at Felton Bible Church 1:00pm – 6:30pm

WHAT’S GEOCACHING?

Geocaching is like treasure hunting… kind of.  Hidden and stashed ALL over the place are these things called “geocaches” (Google it).  They contain a variety of trinkets and items and little log books showing a record of who’s stopped by.  You’ve probably been close to a geocache without even knowing it, but you can find them with GPS, and that’s what we’re gonna do!

WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?

We’ll be going Saturday, September 23rd.  Drop off your amazing students at Felton Bible Church between 1:30-2pm, and then pick them back up between 6-6:30pm.

WHAT SHOULD MY STUDENT BRING?

Required:
Sneakers, hiking boots, or other closed-toe shoes suitable for walking in the woods
Water Bottle
Snacks
Signed Waiver (see below)

Strongly Encouraged:
Small trinkets / items to leave behind in geocaches. Think small enough to fit into an Easter egg. It’s okay to bring a couple larger items, but the larger they are, the less likely they are to fit in the geocache (they’re different sizes, but typically small). Plus, the larger the items your student brings, the more they’ll have to tote around!

Optional:
Hat
More Water
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Backpack for all of that stuff
Friends

WAIVER:
We definitely need a signed waiver form for your student and their friends to participate. Please either print one form per minor, fill it out, and bring it to the event, or be prepared to fill one out when you drop your student off.

Forms MUST be signed by a legal guardian, so if your student is bringing friends, make sure their legal guardian fills one out beforehand!
