What to Expect
Elevation places a high value on being a place for anyone and everyone who is exploring Jesus or looking for a place to worship. We aim to make it comfortable for people who don’t do church AND those who do. There’s no pretense, “secret handshake,” or special clothing needed.
Attending a church for the first time can sometimes be uncomfortable, a little bit scary, or unfamiliar if you didn’t grow up attending one. At Elevation, we don’t want you to be anxious about visiting us. We do want you to come and experience what God is doing in and through our church.
You’ve probably heard the expression, “you can’t judge a book by its cover.” That is so true at Elevation. While we’ve met in some unorthodox places, like a nightclub, we are totally sold out for Jesus, seek to be relevant in our community, encourage authentic ministry, and stick to Bible teaching that is useful to daily life and filled with encouragement.
The safety and health of our community is important to us. Please stay informed with the current County Health guidelines and requirements. Elevation will be following all county requirements.
Current Meeting Place:
We’re meeting live outdoors and in-person.
at Felton Community Hall 6191 Highway 9
Sundays @ 10:00 – 11:30 am
We are also meeting on Facebook on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
What is the worship service like?
Ultimately our worship service is Jesus-centered, which is to say – worship that is in view of the powerful work of salvation that Jesus has accomplished on the cross. We do have musical worship from wonderfully talented musicians at the start of the service. You can expect it to be more acoustic based worship songs during this pandemic season, but we have historically also had a full, live rocking band, and we may incorporate that style again post-pandemic.
How long are the worship services?
Services are about an hour and a half and consist of worship, and teaching.
What should I wear?
When meeting in-person wear what you’re comfortable in (just please wear something, it is Santa Cruz, after all). We prefer to just dress casual and focus on enjoying the worship experience together. You will feel right at home in jeans and a T-shirt.
Honestly, we’re simply not concerned about such things as what you wear.
What about my children?
We offer Kid’s Church for preschool- 4th grade outside at Daybreak Camp near the playground. Your kid can join the teachers at the back of the amphitheater after the first worship set. We sanitize the picnic tables before and after each Sunday and offer prepackaged snacks and juices for the kids. During Kid’s Church they will learn stories and lessons from the Bible. The kids will also be able to participate in creative activities and projects.
